| Several faculty members at The Ohio State University Medical Center have written and published a handbook on heart failure for use by pre-hospital care providers, emergency physicians, nurses, and primary care physicians.
“Management of Heart Failure in the Emergent Situation,” provides a comprehensive update of heart failure from the pre-hospital setting with EMS or primary care physician’s office, to the emergency department and observation unit setting. The book also covers patient management, nursing issues, and the economics of treating the disease.
Dr. Ragavendra R. Baliga (43054), assistant division chief of cardiovascular medicine, and Dr. James F. Neuenschwander II (43023), assistant professor of emergency medicine, at OSU Medical Center, are among the book’s editors.
The co-authors include Drs. Paul Chacko (43078), Brian C. Hiestand (43235), Mark G. Moseley (43016), and Robin J. Trupp (43017) in OSU College of Nursing.
