Current Research The Institute has identified four major programmatic areas of focus. Dr. Sen is the program leader of the Regenerative Medicine program of the Davis HLRI. The Laboratory of Molecular Medicine was established in August 2000 when Dr. Sen moved from the University of California at Berkeley to join The Ohio State University. The Laboratory focuses on the study of oxygen, reactive oxygen species and antioxidant nutrients with emphasis on tissue injury and repair. Dr. Sen is a faculty of several graduate programs including Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology, Bioengineering and Nutrition. Dr. Sen serves several leadership positions at The Ohio State University including Vice Chairman of Research in the Department of Surgery; Director of the Davis HLRI Genetics and Microarray Core, and Executive Director of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Wound Center. Dr. Sen is the Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Antioxidants & Redox Signaling (www.liebertpub.com/ars).
